Bob originally studied economics at Loughborough University and has a background in financial services dating back to 1991 when he worked with Lloyds syndicate, RGB Underwriting and later The Industrial Bank of Japan as an intern to the Eurobond trading floor. After finishing his degree, Bob worked in the City of London with Credit Suisse First Boston and as Ship Broker (Tankers) with Anglo Maritime. He has gained a wealth of experience from a varied career. This has spanned insurance, financial markets, business ownership, professional sport (ocean yacht racing), classroom teaching and school senior leadership in both the maintained and independent sectors, before finally joining BBT Group’s Financial Planning team in 2022.

In his spare time Bob is a keen sportsman and enjoys yacht racing, skiing and supports Spurs and Gloucester Rugby. He’s also a fly-fisherman and active in river protection and habitat restoration.
